A Pieta was donated to the Basilica of Suyapa on the occasion of
the dedication of the Basilica of Suyapa. The Pieta was blessed
by his Eminence Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga SDB, head
of the Roman Curia and advisor to His Holiness Pope Francis.
In attendance was the first lady of Honduras, Ana Garcia de
Hernandez, wife of the President, Juan Orlando Hernandez.
Also, in attendance were numerous Bishops and Cardinals from
around the world.
